With the target audience being temple students or creatives, I decided to open up a collaboration featuring a variation of temple students’ work-that being in the form of writing and photography. My Main setback is that I have to think like a graphic designer, art director, and professional illustrator when reviewing the submissions and developing a layout. Another major factor to the collaboration process is making sure people submit by a certain time-frame.
Loosefit Cover
I created a magazine brand identity with an impactful way of visually sharing and collecting information. LooseFit’s theme ties around creativity and no limitations so I choose to not limit the color palette and have lots of collage/textures. Unlike other magazines whose target is a demographic of individuals, LooseFit is set around my niche of people such as Temple students, also more specifically calling out to creatives.

Creativity
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Conclusion
Developing an entire illustrated magazine helped me balance more of my technical design skills with my drawing style by exploring graphic design approaches with typography, layout, and spacing. Using software such as Adobe Indesign and meshing together my illustrations with collaborative writing + images. I would enjoy deepening my understanding of collaborative work more in the future and working with major print or press companies delivering editorial illustrations. I learned throughout this process that there are many different ways to include interactivity in work as an artist to really draw people in and be engaged.
